À la piscine (At the Pool)
It’s summer at the pool. Claire gets bored while her friends send her pictures of holidays abroad. Suddenly, her iPhone captures the images of a young woman crying at the pool bar.
It’s a poetic snapshot of summertime numbness. In a half-sleeping state, intimate quests and neighborly conversations interfere, while the heat exacerbates the unrest and confusion of feelings. Over the course of one afternoon, three young women, touched by grace, cross paths in a film imbued with softly kitschy romance. Riotously entertaining, it ogles the fantastic by playing with the sounds, bodies and colors of the swimming pool.
