Yorgos Lanthimos

Yorgos Lanthimos was born in Athens. His first feature film Kinetta (2005) screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and at Berlinale. His second feature Dogtooth (2009) was nominated for an Oscar and won the Un Certain Regard prize in Cannes. The Lobster (2015) was also Oscar-nominated and won the Jury Prize in Cannes, where The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017) received the screenplay award. His latest film, The Favourite (2018), received ten Oscar nominations and won the Grand Jury Prize in Venice.
