“Annelie” is an old boarding house in Munich rented by the city to provide shelter to the homeless and welfare cases. Some of the residents stayed in these “temporary lodgings” for over a decade. The long waiting period inevitably brought the idiosyncratic tenants together. They are all considered impossible to integrate in the workplace and have been jobless for years. Annelie is their home. Yet an incident with a corpse rocked their world: in 2012, the city decided to close the shelter and demolish the house Annelie. This news plunged the inhabitants into a state of emergency. The members of the odd Annelie family have to stick together once more.
