The film focuses on seven inmates from seven nations: so-called “heavyweight criminals”. How “heavy” are their crimes? Why does man commit evil deeds? Does man improve that way? The film portrays digressions, despair, repentance and hope. The camera never leaves the closed prison Thorberg. Confinement and oppression are noticeable. Prejudice dissolves at the sight of the fractures and wounds of these fates: paths of life full of conflict and violence. The inmates are given a human face again. Feeling close becomes possible in a place from which society distanced itself a long time ago.
