Histoire(s) du cinéma: Pardo d'onore Swisscom Alejandro Jodorowsky

Santa sangre

Italy, Mexico  ·  1989  ·  35 mm  ·  Color  ·  123'  ·  o.v. Spanish

Fenix is still traumatized by the childhood experience of witnessing an appalling, tragic event when his father – a fanatical member of a religious sect – cut off his mother’s arms. Now confined to a mental hospital, Fenix manages to escape and to get back to his mother. Together they form a bizarre circus duo, but their act is a cover for more terrible intentions: to murder defenseless girls.
