Baldassare Scolari (*1985) graduated from high school in Locarno and studied religious studies («Religionswissenschaft») at the university of Zürich. He teaches media ethics at the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) and at the Chur University of Applied Sciences (HTW Chur). Since 2012 he is a member of the research group «Media and Religion» (http://www.media-religion.org). His research focuses on media ethics, discourse theory and analysis, performativity of religious language and representation, hermeneutics and political philosophy. His dissertation on the performativity of martyrological representation of political violence will appear in 2019.
