Paolo Benzi

Paolo Benzi works and lives in Italy, where he founded the film and TV production company Okta Film. Supporting a cinema deeply involved with reality, he produces auteur films where gazing and listening combine with exploring both fresh and skillful, experimental and enjoyable narrative forms. He works internationally, driven by both political and intellectual convictions, believing in filmmaking that creates connections and resonates with things, works on analogies and memory, and triggers imagination. He is the Emerging Producers program's Head of Tutors in the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival's industry sector (Czech Republic), since 2012. He has been working with the Visions du Réel Rough Cut Lab (Nyon, Switzerland) since 2020.
