The Locarno Film Festival’s wide array of opportunities for growth and training is getting even wider this year, thanks to a new alliance with the Manawa Foundation, which has always had its eye on the learning process for new generations, especially in the context of media.
The new photography workshop, which will take place in Locarno during the Festival’s 76th edition, will allow 8 enthusiasts, selected from all over the world, to discover their creative potential and to interact with other young talents and professionals attending the event. No previous experience is required, nor is any technical equipment, which will be supplied during the workshop. In charge of tutoring is Sven Creutzmann, the German photographer and reporter who has been focusing on documentary photography for 27 years, with a particular focus on Latin America and Cuba in particular.
Through the dynamic mix of practical and theoretical classes, individual exchanges with the tutor and participation in encounters and exclusive events in partnership with the BaseCamp and Locarno Academy projects, the 8 participants willgain all the inspiration and skills necessary for a personal photographic project. And, of course, they will be able to experience the Locarno Film Festival from a brand-new perspective.
If you’re between 18 and 30 years of age and passionate about photography, cinema, and creativity, apply now.
The offer includes lodging, breakfast, networking events, screenings, exclusive encounters, and more.
