1967, Mardi Gras. Françoise is a seventeen-year-old boarder in an all-girls Catholic high school. Convinced that she has only one night left before her death, she sneaks out with her friend Delphine to attend a costume party and live the night as if it was her last.
1967, pendant le Mardi gras. Françoise est une pensionnaire de dix-sept ans dans un lycée catholique. Persuadée qu’il ne lui reste qu’une seule nuit avant sa mort, elle fait le mur avec son amie Delphine pour se rendre à une fête costumée et pouvoir vivre cette nuit comme la dernière.
Faschingsdienstag 1967. Die 17-jährige Françoise besucht ein katholisches Mädcheninternat. Davon überzeugt, dass sie am nächsten Tag sterben wird, schleicht sie sich mit ihrer Freundin Delphine aus der Schule, um einen Maskenball zu besuchen und die Nacht so zu verbringen, als wäre es ihre letzte.

La Morsure è un film che gioca sui cambi di registro e di atmosfera, sulla rottura e sull'opposizione, in sintonia con la confusione della sua eroina. Volevo che il suo sconvolgimento fosse palpabile, una tempesta interiore che richiamasse quella all’esterno.
La Morsure est un film qui joue sur les changements de registre et d'ambiance, sur la rupture et l'opposition, au rythme du parcours chaotique de l’héroïne. Je voulais rendre son agitation palpable, tempête intérieure en écho à celle de l'extérieur.
La Morsure spielt im Einklang mit der Wahrnehmung und dem chaotischen Werdegang seiner Heldin mit Register- und Stimmungswechseln, Brüchen und Widersprüchen. Ich wollte den Umbruch spürbar machen als inneren Sturm, der das Echo des äusseren ist.
La Morsure is a film that plays on changes of register and atmosphere, on rupture and opposition, in tune with the perception and chaotic trajectory of its heroine. I wanted to try to make its upheaval palpable, an inner storm that echoes the one blowing outside.
