With her fluo sneakers and platinum sweep, Suzanne is haunted by the passing of her husband Édouard. She talks to him, his pictures invade the apartment. A double slides in between her and the ghost…

It’s a moving and inventive portrait of the director’s grandmother, living in a jungle of screens and connected objects. In a sweetly outdated environment, these multiple interfaces, which have become ordinary, create a captivating contrast that flirts with science fiction. With humor and tenderness, Maxence Stamatiadis explores the range of possibilities offered by digital gadgets, to spread love and fight against solitude.

Locarno is ...

… “lucarne” in French, which translates into “skylight”: a small opening which allows light to come in.
