An online platform accessible all year round, providing resources and content to help filmmakers and producers from the Open Doors regions of South and Southeast Asia and Mongolia to develop their projects.
Available to be consulted freely, the online platform Open Doors ToolBox aims to provide a space and a resource center for directors and producers to acquire new forms of knowledge related to their craft and the development possibilities of their projects (for example, via international funds, development workshops, or after being selected for festivals), as well as to foster and maintain a broader community of fellow filmmakers that can sustain itself.
Through Open Doors ToolBox, filmmakers and producers from the previous region of Open Doors (South Asia) and from all the countries of Southeast Asia and Mongolia, including new talents, are offered valuable new types of resources, accessible all year round.
Interactive features such as a Forum Area, the chance to comment under each resource and save favorite topics, allow the members to create a sustainable professional network while discovering new resources in a common space.
The ToolBox is accessible to film professionals from: Mongolia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Brunei, Timor and Singapore.
To access the platform, if you still don’t have a profile on the Locarno Film Festival website, you need to register by providing basic information. You will then receive an email with a confirmation link (check the spam box if you don’t receive the email). Upon the first access, we will also ask you to provide information about your country of origin and your profession.
