March 11-12 at the GranRex in Locarno, will mark the 10th edition of the Locarno Film Festival spring event presented by Swisscom, titled "Images of History: A Comparison of Research and Creation," which will shed light on the relationship between our past and the images that narrate it.
For the occasion, Romanian director Radu Jude, recent winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlinale, will initiate a conversation on the topic of archival images with theorists, including historian Carlo Ginzburg, critics, cultural workers, and young filmmakers. Rounding out the program will be a proposal for children and families, with a dedicated screening and workshop, and the kickoff of the 2023 Spring Academy.
