The Locarno Festival, the Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia and the Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografia announce today the call for entries for the Morelia/ IMCINE - Locarno Industry Academy International 2018. The applications will be open until Friday, August 31th.
The Morelia/IMCINE Locarno Industry Academy International workshop is an initiative that the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) organizes since 2015 in collaboration with the Locarno Festival and the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE). The training program is thought for young professionals of the cinema industry interested in developing their skills in international sales, distribution (traditional and online), exhibition, marketing, programming and curating.
Up to 8 participants from Mexico and Latin America will be selected for the workshop that will be held from Tuesday the 23 to Friday the 26 of October in the frame of the 16th edition of the FICM. The FICM will provide all the selected participants a festival accreditation, 4 nights of accommodation (October 23 to 27) with breakfast in shared room and lunches in the 24, 25 and 26 of October. The selected participants will be announced on September 28 on the FICM webpage.
